i havent updated my blog in a while, so its about time i do this. in class i have been working on a vase with the texture of a rock wall or something like that. Here's a picture of it when it wasn't quite completed, but i finsished it up on friday
i kind of like how this turned out, but i still have to figure out what glaze i'm going to use to really make this texture apparent.
you should make one of these with circles and whatnot covering it, thatd be pretty crazy man
ReplyDeleteI think that the idea for the pot is really great, and since we were all talking about it during your critique, I think that you should think about maybe pulling not necessarily the exact shape of rocks to put on the pot, but maybe like pulling aspects from rocks, like the swirls and layers in sandstone could be used as a texture on your pot, or you could apply the roughness of some rocks and make the surface of the pot rocky looking, but not necessarily have straight out rocks
