concentration/ poster

my concentration has been going farily well, but i need to begin to think of new textures that i can put on my forms. does any one have any ideas? regarding the poster it is up in my dad's office. I don't have any pictures of me in front of it though, seeing as I haven't been there in a while.

recently i have been throwing cylinder based forms similar to this. i would like to continue to throw these until i can master the form and tweak it to fit my concentration by adding texture to them.

throwing

i'm super stoked, because i finally feel like i got my touch back at throwing. i can finally throw nice cylinder based vases again, but i'm still working to think of a new form. hopefully this week i can get my vase fired for my concentration piece and then get to work throwing more stuff.

i'm still debating whether i should go to the ceramics demo by Don Sprague at the Chemeketa Community College on the 14th and 15th. Because i will have a soccer game on saturday given that my team wins on tuesday. If I have the game I'm not sure if it will be worth signing up. If i don't have the game will it be too late though?

last thursday we had a guest speaker come and talk about california community college. I found lots of things that i liked about it, but i don't want to necessarily go there. Although it was a good experience

this last weekend, we had our AP 3D retreat. my favorite part of it was going outside and creating andy goldsworthy-esqe non-permanent sculptures. here's a picture of my apple-pear that i created using only already fallen apples:
