portfolios= done

about time. wooo. portfolios are done, everything is winding down and now we should make a class totem or something. i like the idea of having a few more projects after portfolios so that we can be productive and finish our clay.

anyways thats it.

year coming to an end

its been a while since i've blogged. its getting to be close to that time of graduation. anyways last week was legit for art. i got all of my pieces out of the kiln and we had a showcase on thursday which went awesome. portfolios are due soon, so i need to start editing!!!

today is super nice outside for one of the first times this year. i dont have any new pictures of my work, but in class i'm working on a new bottle. and then i'm gonna start glazing my stuff soon! portfolios ahhh!!!!

hey, sorry i havent been keeping up with my blog. ive been way too busy with skiing lately, but now the highschool season is over. back to art. my projects are up to date and i think its time for me to finally crack down and make another teapot. i think it might look something roughly like this:

its finals week and i'm really not sure what to post. the class party.. i mean critique is gonna be legit. last week i pretty much put the finishing touches on a bottle i made as well as the amphora thing. so yea...i think i might remake my teabowls the next class i can. ummm. then maybe actually make a tea pot seeing as i havent made one in like two years. anyways heres some inspiration of simon leach making some tea bowls.

update on stuff

this week i made an amphora. heres the form of the vessel. and today i made two litte handles for it. i think it'll turn out pretty cool. and heres an update on the steins as well. last time i posted a picture of them, they were just tubes. now they're bisqued and ready to be glazed. so here they are:

so for my latest piece i decided to make some tumblers to fit into my concentration of liquid bearing vessels. any ways here are a few. i think i'm still going to refine my shape and make a semi consistent set. haha.
